MEET JOE & MATT

Joe & Matt have called Spicewood home for more than a decade & their combined experience is what makes Lick Creek different.

Joe brings years of hands-on experience in pool construction, tile, masonry & the unique challenges of building in the Texas Hill Country. He understands what it takes to build something beautiful & what it takes to make it last.

Matt brings a background in small-business operations, project management & customer service. He’s passionate about the details that keep a project organized, communication clear & clients confident from beginning to end.

Together, they’ve built a company around the things they believe matter most: Great design. Exceptional craftsmanship. Clear communication. And doing what you said you would do.

ABOUT US

Lick Creek Pools was founded by Joe Ribble & Matt Thurston in the Texas Hill Country, where we live, work & spend time with our families.

The company was created around a simple idea: building a pool should feel personal. Not rushed. Not transactional. And definitely not like you’re just another number on a crowded production schedule.

We’re a boutique pool company focused on building exceptional pools for exceptional homes—and making the experience along the way one you’ll actually enjoy.

We don’t believe a pool should simply fill an empty space in your backyard. It should belong there. It should complement your home, work with the landscape & reflect the way you actually live.

Maybe your perfect afternoon is a quiet float with a cold drink. Maybe it’s watching the kids jump in until the sun goes down. Maybe it’s a house full of friends, music playing & dinner cooking outside. Whatever your version of paradise looks like, that’s where we start. With you.

MORE THAN A POOL

QUALITY OVER QUANTITY

We aren’t interested in being the company that builds the most pools. We’re interested in building pools we’re proud to put our name on. That means taking the time to understand the property, think through the details, choose the right materials & build it correctly—not simply quickly or cheaply.

We’re a boutique builder by design. That allows us to stay close to our projects, communicate directly with our clients & give each pool the attention it deserves. When you build a pool with us, you become part of the family.

BUILT FOR THE HILL COUNTRY

Building in the Texas Hill Country comes with its own set of challenges—and opportunities. The terrain isn’t always forgiving & every property is different.

But that’s part of what makes building here so rewarding. We know the area. We understand the landscape. We understand the unique considerations that come with building pools throughout the Hill Country.

THE LICK CREEK PROMISE

WE BELIEVE...

• You should know what’s happening with your project.

• You should know what’s coming next.

• You should be able to reach the people responsible for your pool.

• You should know that the people building it care about the finished product as much as you do.

That’s the standard we’ve set for Lick Creek Pools. Your pool is our pool.
